Gus Miftah Reportedly Becomes Aurel's Marriage Guardian, Here's What the Office of Religious Affairs Says

Aurel Hermansyah's side has recently submitted a recommendation request to KUA Ciputat Timur. Since the marriage recommendation letter is only addressed to KUA Sawah Besar, KUA Ciputat Timur did not provide many details about Aurel and Atta Halilintar's wedding.

"After checking each document and confirming that all documents are complete, we only provide a marriage endorsement. As for the wedding plan, we are not aware of it because our responsibility is only to provide a marriage recommendation to the relevant Office of Religious Affairs (KUA)," said Taher Iswahyudi, the head of KUA Ciputat Timur, in his office on Monday (22/3).

"For further information, you can inquire at KUA Sawah Besar regarding the location, date, and time of the wedding ceremony," added Taher.

2. Is Gus Miftah Becoming Aurel's Marriage Guardian?

In the document, the guardian listed is Anang Hermansyah, Aurel's father. However, there is news that Anang has requested the preacher Gus Miftah to become Aurel's marriage guardian.

Regarding this matter, Taher explained, "If the appointed guardian, for example, is my daughter, I have the right to marry her. But because I am nervous, easily cry, stutter, and unable to perform the marriage ceremony, I delegate the responsibility to someone else, known as the appointed guardian, and it is allowed."

"If I am nervous, unable to recite the marriage vows, easily cry, and stutter, it is permissible for someone to appoint a guardian they trust," he concluded.
