After not releasing any religious singles during Ramadan for quite some time, the singer whose songs were popular in the late 90s and 2000s, Haddad Alwi, has finally released his new work. The man whose full name is Haddad Alwi Assegaf certainly still carries the same theme in his work, namely the nuances of shalawat to Prophet Muhammad SAW.

The new song is titled Kangen Kanjeng Nabi. The song, which has also been released with a music video, has apparently received a warm welcome from music lovers in the country, where the song has now been viewed over 1 million times on YouTube.
Like his previous songs, Haddad Alwi certainly did not work alone, he collaborated with a number of male and female students at one of the Islamic boarding schools.
"So, this Ramadan, I released two songs, which I have prepared and released. One of them is titled Kangen Kanjeng Nabi. I am the solo singer, but the backing vocals are from the students," said Haddad Alwi when met in the Tanah Abang area, Central Jakarta recently.
In the lyrics, Haddad Alwi inserted the shalawat Maula ya Salli Wa Sallim Daiman Abadan which is already familiar to the public. The overall lyrics aim to introduce the closest people to Prophet Muhammad.
"If the shalawat is already known, Maula ya Salli Wa Sallim Daiman Abadan is already known," he said.
"But the lyrics, we make them so that people can get to know more about Prophet Muhammad and his closest people. Like his grandfather, uncle, cousin, father, mother, grandchildren, children and companions of Prophet Muhammad," he continued.
Through his new song, Haddad Alwi hopes that Muslims can get to know the closest people to Prophet Muhammad more.
"With this song, God willing, there will no longer be anyone who does not know the Prophet and his closest people," he said.
