Happy to Bathe His Son's Body, Ridwan Kamil: Eril's Body Smells Like Eucalyptus Leaves

Kapanlagi.com - After 14 days of being missing and swept away by the Aare River current, the body of Emmeril Khan Mumtadz was finally found. The eldest daughter of Ridwan Kamil was found in the Engehalde dam area, Bern, Switzerland, about 5 km from the point where Eril went missing.

Upon hearing the news, Ridwan Kamil immediately flew to Switzerland to meet with Eril's body. A mixture of relief and loss, but the Governor of West Java was grateful to be able to bathe his son's body, whom he had searched for by diving directly into the Aare River.

Through his Instagram account, Ridwan Kamil revealed the condition of Eril's body, which was still intact and fragrant. He couldn't stop saying the word thayibbah.

"ALHAMDULILLAH YA ALLAH. Finally, You gave me the opportunity to hug, caress, and bathe my child according to Islamic law, also to perfectly recite the adhan in his ear just like when Eril was born," wrote Ridwan Kamil in his Instagram post today, Friday (10/6).

"And MASHA ALLAH. Even though it's been 14 days, his body is still intact, complete without any missing parts, his face looking to the right and I testify, Eril's body smells like eucalyptus leaves. It's truly a small miracle that we are very grateful for," he added.

2. Expressions of Gratitude

Furthermore, Ridwan Kamil also expressed his gratitude and thanks. Not only to Allah SWT but also to millions of people who have been praying for the late Eril for the past 14 days.

"Allah is Great, with Your permission, for 14 days the Aare river has truly protected and purified his body from danger. Hey Eril, it's time for you to return to your homeland, to express your gratitude to the millions who have prayed for you," he concluded.

3. Video Call with Wife

Ridwan Kamil also shared news with his wife who was in Indonesia. After bathing his son's body, the man known as Kang Emil made a video call, as seen in Atalia Praratya's Insta Story post.

The Governor's wife, who had tried to remain strong for the past 14 days, couldn't hold back her tears when she heard the story from her husband. She also uttered the phrase Masya Allah while covering her mouth and shedding tears.
