KAIJU NO.8 is one of the most anticipated spring anime in 2024. The anime made its official debut on April 13th.

KAIJU NO.8 is an action sci-fi genre that has successfully attracted many readers in its manga version. Produced by Production I.G, known for popular anime such as HAIKYUU!! and Kimi ni Todoke, Kaiju itself means monster, which tells the story of human battles against monsters.

Every day, humanity is threatened by monsters called Kaiju.

Kafka Hibino aspires to join the Japanese Defense Force to destroy the monsters. However, at some point, he gave up on his dreams and now works at a Kaiju Cleaning Company.

"Let's destroy all the Kaiju" He still vividly remembers his promise with his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro, who is now the commander of the 3rd unit.

Kafka feels unworthy to fight alongside her. However, when he meets his junior, Reno Ichikawa, who dreams of becoming a member of the Defense Force, time stops and starts moving again.

Naoya Matsumoto succeeded with the manga he published last year in 2020 and it has now been adapted into an anime series. As of April 2024, the manga has reached 104 chapters and will continue.

3. Collaborating with 2 Famous Western Musicians

X/OneRepublic

Unlike other anime that usually use local singers to fill the OST, KAIJU NO.8 collaborates with two Western musicians, soloist YUNGBLUD and pop rock band OneRepublic. YUNGBLUD will sing Abyss as the opening, while OneRepublic performs the song Nobody for the ending.

4. Broadcast Schedule and Official Web Streaming
