His Personal Life is Considered to Violate the Code of Ethics for Lawyers, Hotman Paris Considers Hotma Sitompul's Actions Like a Joke

Looking relaxed and occasionally laughing, Hotman dismissively considers Hotma Sitompul's actions as a joke.

When approached at the Central Jakarta District Court on Tuesday (5/10), Hotman explained about the photo. He said that the photo was a screenshot from a video of him dancing at a beach club in Bali.

According to him, because of the screenshot, it appeared as if he was embracing the woman. Seeing this, Hotman admitted that he found it amusing and wanted to laugh at his rival's complaint.

"That's just a photo of me dancing like this, holding the girl's hand, at that moment (being close to a woman) in a screenshot taken by him, then printed as if it was an embrace. That's why regarding the photo from the other day, I laughed out loud because it's not a photo, it's a video of me dancing at Omnia Beach Club (in Bali) in 2018," said Hotman Paris.

According to Hotman, his life surrounded by beautiful women is still within reasonable limits and should be a personal matter. Moreover, these activities are carried out in public spaces, so it is impossible to engage in indecent behavior.

"And if it's just a hug. So what? It happened in a swimming pool in Bali, so it's normal because it's a public place," he said.

In addition, regarding the ethical code presented by Hotma Sitompul, Hotman Paris stated that his opponent's attack was also inappropriate. Because Hotma Sitompul reported him to the disciplinary board for bringing up Hotman Paris' personal life instead of reporting his own violations as a lawyer when on duty.

"That person was on vacation in Bali. So the understanding of the ethical code should be considered first, whether he was performing his duties or not," he added.

Furthermore, Hotman also gave an unexpected response regarding Hotma Sitompul's actions. The famous lawyer with his flamboyant style admitted that he actually felt sorry for Hotma Sitompul because he didn't want to lose to him.

"Poor him, that's all people talk about. Besides, I am indeed a king liked by women because I am better than him, have charisma. Success, hard work, achievement, successful family, successful money," said Hotman Paris when met at the Central Jakarta District Court, Tuesday (5/10).

"Being honest and not having legal problems is why women like me. I'm not being hypocritical. I dare to dance with women. Look at my Instagram," he continued.

Not only that, Hotman also considered Hotma Sitompul's efforts to bring him down to be in vain. Because, Hotma's statements circulating in the media were actually criticized by netizens.

"He didn't succeed, look at all the news, many people criticized him, so I didn't fall, instead I became even stronger," he said.
