How Ruben Onsu Memorizes Daily Prayers, Every Corner Is Given a Note

In this vlog, Ruben Onsu shows various corners of his room adorned with papers containing prayer readings. One of them is the prayer before sleeping, which is intentionally placed in several corners of the room.

Ruben also shows a prayer note in his bedroom that reads "Prayer Before Sleep: Bismika Allahumma ahyaa wa bismika amuut." The writing is not only placed in one spot but is spread out in various lines of sight in his room. 

Not only the walls of the room, but the ceiling also has notes of prayer placed right above his bed. This method is indeed his way of continually remembering the short prayers that sometimes get forgotten amidst the busyness.

Ruben then explains that this habit is also applied after the dawn prayer. He sticks reminder notes so as not to forget prayers and dhikr. "After dawn, after the dawn prayer, there's a note that says 'after the prayer, don't forget to pray and do dhikr, okay? Don't use sleepiness as an excuse.' See you at the Dhuha prayer, and then we'll meet again at the zuhr prayer," explains Ruben Onsu.

Meanwhile, there is a prayer note reminding of the Dhuha prayer until the Dzuhur prayer. These notes are placed in various lines of sight so they can be easily seen from wherever one stands. In addition to the room, Ruben also showed the prayer writings that are pasted in the bathroom. The writings contain the intention before ablution, the sequence of ablution, and the intention after ablution.

In fact, the bathroom area does not only have one daily prayer note. Instead, another corner of the wall in the bathroom is also covered with prayer reading papers for easy memorization.
