Husband Called Unemployed, Rina Nose Chooses Not to Give the Real Answer

Kapanlagi.com - Now Rina Nose is currently happy spending her days with her husband, Josscy Aartsen. She also admitted that this year is the first time she is fasting together with her husband.

When asked about her husband's news, Rina Nose said she has a different view on family and marriage. For her, this doesn't need to be categorized as society does.

"Actually, I'm not really angry. But instead, with that, I can give a new perspective. Because the stigma in our society is that the husband works, the woman stays at home, takes care of the children, does the housework, cooks, serves the husband, and the husband gives money to the wife, that's it. That's the stigma we have," said Rina Nose when met at Trans TV building, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (15/4).

1. Admitting Resignation

Furthermore, Rina Nose stated that such views cannot be fought against. This is because it is already common practice among the people around her. She understands when someone asks about someone's job.

"Parents ask 'what does he do, does he want to get married? what can you give my child?'. It's like that, so marriage becomes a frightening thing. If we don't work, we're not ready, then their parents won't accept us. There are people who comment like that, so I also give my perspective to them," said Rina.

2. Still Not Answering Husband's Job

This also makes Rina resign when asked about her husband's job. She admitted that sometimes her husband doesn't understand Indonesian conversations, which makes people curious.

"Let's just share perspectives. At first, he didn't know, he asked 'what does this mean?' I said about that, oh okay. That's it. Because he has a language barrier, so I handle it," said Rina.

"There's no need to answer (husband's job), whether he has a business or works, it's fine. Now, everyone works from home, but they still work. So people who stay at home are not necessarily 'Oh, unemployed' what kind of unemployment is that? Because you relax, do nothing, just lie down and don't produce anything, but people who stay quiet at home have many ideas, produce works, even though they are physically idle, their minds are working. So, there's no need for negative stigma towards people who stay at home," she added.

3. Many New Ideas

Throughout the interview, Rina said that during her time at home, she became diligent in reading and discovering new things. She even tried various cooking recipes.

"Read books, many new things, read many articles. Watch videos to find inspiration, because maybe people with artistic souls, with strong critical thinking, when they read or watch something, they will definitely think of something," said Rina.

"From there, new ideas will emerge, what ideas, for example, suddenly I watched how people make crispy tofu. But how about making crispy tempeh, it seems like it hasn't been done before, something like that. So there are always new ideas," she added.

4. Cooking Hobby

Rina admitted that there are many simple things that can be done at home. She also said that she doesn't force herself to exercise to fill her time.

"Well, I never exercise, haha. After eating, I sleep, haha. Actually, what is it, something like that, exercise as I please, if I really want to exercise. The important thing is to enjoy it. So I don't have to think 'I have to exercise to be healthy,' as long as I have the intention to do everything," she concluded.
