Ify Alyssa Tells the Chronology of Her Father's Death, Next Week Should Have Had a Heart Operation

Kapanlagi.com - Beautiful singer Ify Alyssa is grieving. Her father, Tubagus Hanafi Soeriaatmadja, passed away on Friday (20/3/2020) at the age of 55. He died after suffering a heart attack and was buried at TPU Tanah Kusir, South Jakarta, on Saturday (21/3/2020).

Ify herself gave an explanation about her father's death after the funeral. According to the singer who rose to fame from the talent show Idola Cilik, her late father had been suffering from heart disease since October last year and the doctor had advised him to immediately undergo a bypass surgery because there was a blockage in his heart.

"But he didn't want to. Finally, yesterday, our family persuaded him because it seemed really urgent, judging from his condition. If he walked, he would often be out of breath and seemed tired, so our family thought it would be better for him to undergo a bypass surgery. Finally, the plan was to have the bypass surgery next week in Malaysia, but the outcome turned out like this," said Ify.

1. Fainted and Unconscious

Before passing away, the deceased had not been treated at the hospital and was still active as usual, although sometimes needing assistance. Ify herself also understood that her father's habit was to take it slow after being diagnosed with heart disease. He eventually passed away at home.

"So, he just came back from the office, I think after performing the Maghrib prayer, and then he ordered food from online motorcycle taxi. As soon as the sound of the motorcycle taxi was heard, the driver's sister went down because, 'Why didn't Dad open the door?', and when she checked, he suddenly fainted below. The driver's sister immediately reported it to the driver first, not to me, then the driver came, and then he called me. Well, I also don't know whether he died instantly when he fell or there was a process first, or if the driver's sister was late in noticing, I don't know. Anyway, when the driver called, it was checked by the police and everything, he was no longer breathing," Ify said.

2. Ify's Premonition

Ify happened to be in another house with her younger sibling after their father passed away. She admitted that she had a premonition a few months ago before her father left forever.

"Actually, I had a feeling for a few months now. I went on vacation to Europe with Dad and my sister. Then he (Dad) seemed tired when walking, and gradually we also felt tired. So, we were actually worried," Ify said.

3. The Figure of Father in Ify's Eyes

Ify admitted that she has been close to her father since she was little. The late father also always supported his daughter's career in the entertainment world and encouraged her to study music.

"Father is a humorous figure, very funny, and it's really enjoyable to discuss anything with him, from music taste to mine. And besides that, in terms of my career, he knows like, 'What's best for you?'. He is very creative and touched when Papa passed away, there were a lot of people who expressed their condolences directly or through DM, saying that Papa is a really kind person and I just found out now, like earlier someone who came to pay respects said, 'Papa used to talk about you'. I don't really know, but hearing that story makes me miss him," said Ify.

4. Ify's Prayer for the Late Father

Ify admitted that there was no last message from her father to her. They only discussed Ify's new song that was released. And according to the late father, he liked his daughter's new song. So, was there a last wish from him?

"Maybe I'm sad because I should have graduated this semester, but he's no longer here. So maybe I hope it becomes my motivation to be more enthusiastic about my thesis so that I can graduate on time and make Papa proud. Right now, I can only pray for Papa here. I hope he is at peace and I believe there are also many people praying for Papa there. I hope for the best," she concluded.
