Kapanlagi.com - Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, illegal online lending practices are becoming more and more troubling. The terror and activities of illegal online loans that do not comply with regulations tend to engage in criminal acts that greatly harm the people.
Therefore, various groups have voiced their concerns about the unrest caused by illegal online loans. One of them is artist Nikita Mirzani.
"Illegal online loans are very detrimental and disturbing to many people who truly need loans. It is better for similar businesses to be more closely monitored. If it is illegal, its business license must be immediately revoked," said Nikita when contacted by journalists on Tuesday (6/7).
The mother of three children also praised the performance of the police who acted quickly to apprehend individuals who disturbed many people.
"There have been several illegal online lending platforms handled by the Bareskrim Polri and their owners have been arrested," said Nikita.
For this reason, the woman affectionately known as Niki hopes that the public will be more selective when borrowing money online. The former wife of Sajad Ukra provides tips to avoid falling into the trap of online loans.
"Be smarter in choosing by researching the place to borrow first. It is even better to choose a lending company that is registered and protected by the OJK," explained Nikita.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Multiguna Cluster of the Indonesian Joint Financing Fintech Association (AFPI), Rina Apriana, also shared some characteristics of illegal online lending, one of which is that they are very aggressive in offering loans.
If you really need money and want to borrow, Rina Apriana suggests that the public apply for loans only from legal fintech financing platforms. To find out which fintech financing platforms are legal and safe, the public can check on the official website of the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
"In addition to having unclear loan requirements, illegal online lending platforms are also very aggressive in making offers through applications as well as aggressively offering loans through text messages or SMS," concluded Rina in a discussion on Legal Fintech Financing Practices Vs Online Loans.
