Recently, there was some less joyful news from Imel. Through a post on Instagram on Wednesday (24/06/2021), the former wife of Sirajuddin Mahmud announced that she is undergoing chemotherapy.

In the photo she uploaded, Imel is seen lying down with a tube in her hand. Nevertheless, she still managed to pose by forming the letter V when photographed. Imel is also grateful for what she is currently experiencing.

"Alhamdulillah yesterday I had so much to be grateful for. Firstly, my sister Qila moved up a grade with good grades. Secondly, my lab results were good so I could undergo the first chemotherapy. Hopefully, everything will continue to be good so I can undergo the next chemotherapy," she wrote.

Imel is also grateful because her legal case in Kalimantan has yielded good results and she thanks her legal team. She hopes her problems in Jakarta will be resolved quickly.

To answer netizens' curiosity about what she is currently experiencing, Imel wrote in her Insta Story by reposting a post from their second Instagram account. Although she didn't explain in detail, Imel said that she is currently struggling against cancer.

"Many people ask why I'm undergoing chemotherapy?? Because that is the last option for us cancer patients to survive," she said.
