Inara Rusli Chooses to Perform I'tikaf at Home, Taking Care of Children Without a Maid

The I'tikaf worship during the last ten nights of Ramadan is usually performed in mosques, but it’s different for Inara Rusli. This year, she has to perform the worship at her residence due to family conditions that do not allow it.

Here’s Inara’s story to KapanLagi about her choice to worship at home!

"For the time being, I am performing I'tikaf at home with my children, because there is a condition where I do not have a maid (Household Assistant)," said Inara Rusli.

Inara revealed that she currently does not have a housekeeper. This makes her have to take care of her children alone, including her second son who has special needs.

"I also have to keep an eye on the children, especially my second child who is a special needs child and is very active. So to keep the situation more controlled and conducive for others to worship, I chose to do I'tikaf at home," said Inara.

Even though she cannot worship at the mosque with friends or other family members, Inara remains grateful.

Inara Rusli strives to maximize her worship even though her mobility is limited within the house.

"I'm really happy to see friends out there being able to gain prestige, the privilege of I'tikaf in the mosque with family and friends," she said.

"But thank God, even though I'm just at home, it can still be maximized," concluded Inara.
