Kapanlagi.com - Arjana Bagaskara confirms that his client, Inara Rusli, is demanding a fantastic amount of money from Virgoun as part of her rights as his soon-to-be ex-wife. He explained Inara Rusli's demand, which, if totaled, would be worth more than 10 billion rupiahs.
"The 10 billion is the amount of mut'ah requested, while for the children, it's 50 million per month until they reach the age of 21. So it's not for child support, but for mut'ah," said Arjana at the West Jakarta Religious Court on Wednesday (31/5/2023).
In addition to that, Inara also demands that Virgoun share a portion of the royalties he has received from his music.
"Regarding these royalties, based on the 2014 Copyright Law, royalties are the economic and moral rights of the creator," he said.
"Now, based on legal theory, these economic rights are considered joint assets if one of the parties is the creator of a song. This is a new concept in Indonesia and this is the first time it has been presented, which is why we included it in the lawsuit, and we hope that our demands will be granted by the Honorable Judges," he added.
Arjana Bagaskara still says that the demand for child support is only a precaution in case the custody of the children falls to Inara.
"Because we are asking for custody of the children, and both of these children are under 12 years old where according to Islamic law, custody is given to the mother. The problem is when it turns out that full custody goes to Inara, if we don't demand child support, who will support them?" he said.
