Indra Bekti's Wife Admitted to the ER and Experiencing Shortness of Breath, Declared Negative for Covid-19

Kapanlagi.com - A few days ago, Indra Bekti uploaded a photo on Instagram where his wife, Aldila Jelita, was admitted to the hospital's ER. Indra Bekti explained the illness his wife was suffering from.

"So, for about two weeks, Dila has been experiencing shortness of breath. Two days prior, she also had a slight fever, restlessness, chest pain, and her shortness of breath reached 40 degrees," said Indra Bekti when met at Mayapada Lebak Bulus Hospital, South Jakarta, on Sunday (8/23).

1. Negative Covid-19

When coming to the hospital, Indra Bekti was worried if his wife had indications of Covid-19. Fortunately, after being examined, the result was negative.

“When we came to Mayapada, we were immediately directed that if the body was hot and there was shortness of breath, the building was different. Oh, I was also afraid of Covid. Dila has also been swabbed that night and thank God the result was negative, not Covid,” he explained.

2. There is a Fluid that Causes Shortness of Breath

After being examined and X-rayed, it turned out that there was fluid in Dila's lungs that caused shortness of breath. The fluid has been removed, but Dila still feels shortness of breath, so further examination is still needed.

“Finally, it was recommended to be hospitalized from Thursday night, and on Friday morning, a lung doctor came. Dila was examined and X-rayed, and it was found that there was fluid in her chest that caused shortness of breath. Finally, the doctor came and performed a procedure called Pleural Effusion. So the fluid was taken, there was a lot, up to 600 cc,” explained Indra Bekti.

3. First Observed

The fluid was then further examined. According to Indra, his wife still needs to be observed. The next action taken is an ultrasound. On Monday (24/8), there are still other procedures that Dila has to undergo. 

4. Procedure Performed

"That fluid needs to be examined to find out the cause. What caused the fluid in her lungs. On Saturday, we observed and it turned out that Dila was still short of breath. Now, this Sunday, we will proceed with the next procedure using an ultrasound, to ensure accurate fluid extraction. InshaAllah, there will be another procedure on Monday," he concluded.
