Initial Mediation Fails, Baim Wong Still Wants to Separate and Paula Verhoeven Will Follow the Course

Famous model Paula Verhoeven chose not to say much after undergoing mediation with her husband, Baim Wong, at the South Jakarta Religious Court. Both attended to try to resolve their household conflict through mediation, which was hoped to be a solution.

After the mediation was completed, Paula finally made a brief statement to the media crew who had been waiting for her since morning. On this occasion, the mother of two only asked for prayers.   "Thank you friends who have come and patiently waited for me, please pray that everything goes smoothly and for the best path," she said briefly after the hearing on Wednesday (23/10/2024).

Paula chose not to comment further regarding her divorce from Baim Wong. She emphasized that all legal matters have been fully entrusted to her attorney.   "I leave the lawsuit to my attorney. I'm taking my leave now," said Paula while leaving the courtroom.

Meanwhile, Alvon Kurnia Palma, Paula Verhoeven's attorney, revealed that the mediation conducted between Paula and Baim has not reached a resolution. Both parties are still firmly holding on to their respective desires.   "Mediation has been conducted, the judge has given a week for further mediation," explained Alvon.

Although the mediation has not resulted in an agreement, Paula is said to continue following the next trial process. She remains committed to going through each legal stage properly, while hoping for the best for her family.

Fahmi Bachmid, the legal representative of Baim Wong, also confirmed that the mediation between his client and Paula Verhoeven did not yield results. Baim Wong remains firm in his decision to separate from Paula.

"The mediation did not reach or have any agreement, Baim still wants to separate. So on Monday there will be another mediation regarding the children's issues," said Fahmi.

Fahmi revealed that in the mediation next week, Baim and Paula will submit a written request to the mediating judge, specifically regarding the custody of their children.   "What will be discussed later is about child custody. They both want the best for the children," added Fahmi.
