Ivan Gunawan Will Go to Uganda to Inaugurate the Built Mosque, Has Prepared Cows to Be Slaughtered

Although it has not been inaugurated, many activities have been carried out by the surrounding community. Knowing that, Ivan is certainly happy that what he has given brings benefits.

"The mosque is already completed, yesterday it was used for Tarawih and Eid prayers. Insha Allah, there will be a mosque inauguration with the ritual of slaughtering a cow. I have prepared a cow for the residents," said Ivan when met in the Harmoni area, Central Jakarta, on Monday (15/4/2024).

According to the plan, Ivan Gunawan and his team will fly to Uganda on April 20th. Not only by air, because he will also travel by car for ten hours before arriving at the mosque location.

"I will depart to Uganda on April 20th. I will have a transit in Dubai, then a five-hour flight to Entebbe, and then a ten-hour overland journey to the mosque. I will return on the 25th and immediately take care of Miss Mega Bintang," Ivan said.

Ivan Gunawan revealed that he did not prepare much for his trip to Uganda. Because his goal is not for vacation but to inaugurate a mosque built with the name Masjid Indonesia by Ivan Gunawan.

"I have made up my mind and determination. Because my goal is after the mosque is completed, I want to see it. This is my first time in Uganda, so I really have to go there. Let's just go, let's endure whatever the conditions are because it's not a vacation," Ivan said.

Previously, Ivan Gunawan has indeed talked a lot about the mosque in Uganda. He once told the story of how he decided to build a mosque there.

It is said that at that time he was moved when one of his friends uploaded a post on social media showing the distressing conditions of the people in Uganda.

"I am a spontaneous person. Seeing a friend's post named Hamzah, there is a lack of clean water and no place of worship. It's time under the tree branches. So, no need for complicated permissions and it's not difficult for me, so coincidentally they are there, they are trustworthy, so I decided to build a mosque," he said.

However, when asked how much Ivan Gunawan spent to build the mosque there, he firmly refused to discuss it because he believes that building a mosque must be based on sincerity.
