"The lawyer stated that his client, Vanessa, was framed in this case. "Whether there was a man or not (in the hotel room), that is already part of the case in the local police. If prostitution is not true, then the Rp 80 million is also not true. This is purely a setup. The person who invited her is the one who should be suspected," he concluded.
"Siska's reason was that their room could only be entered at 2 o'clock while they arrived at 12 o'clock. There was still a few hours of waiting time. Siska said, 'Well, let's go to the room first while waiting,' she said. When they arrived at the room, Siska went out to look for food and suddenly the raid happened," he continued.
Furthermore, Jane mentioned that Siska invited Vanessa to the hotel because there was still a long time before the event started. In that moment, the raid conducted by the authorities happened.
"I started asking what the purpose of going to Surabaya was for, he contacted this Siska. He said it was to be a host at a company event, this event was sudden. He asked Vanessa to help as the MC," said Jane.
The press conference was held in the Kalibata area, South Jakarta, on Monday (7/1), Jane also mentioned some incidents that her friend experienced. Jane mentioned that Vanessa went to Surabaya to take a job as an MC from someone named Siska.
As a close friend, Jane Shalimar provided a lot of assistance to Vanessa Angel regarding the online prostitution case. Not only providing a lawyer, Jane also flew directly to Surabaya to meet Angel.
After the problems subsided and Vanessa was released, they returned to Jakarta. Upon arriving in the capital city, Jane, accompanied by lawyer Muhammad Zakir Rasyidin, held a press conference in front of the media.
