Jerinx Sentenced to One Year in Prison, Nora Alexandra: Hopefully My Husband Remains Strong

Kapanlagi.com - Jerinx's wife, Nora Alexandra, can only surrender when her husband is sentenced to one year in prison for electronic media threats against Adam Deni. Nora said her husband's punishment must be endured.

"The decision must be followed. Hopefully, my husband stays strong," said Nora after the trial at the Central Jakarta District Court on Friday (24/2/2022).

1. Not Surprised

Jerinx himself admitted that he was not surprised when the panel of judges sentenced him to one year in prison. The drummer of the band Superman Is Dead had prepared himself mentally before hearing the verdict.

"Well, I had prepared myself for the worst-case scenarios, so I wasn't too surprised. As long as I have my wife by my side, I can get through it all," said Jerinx.

2. Baby Program

Before the verdict hearing began, Nora had said that once Jerinx's punishment was over, she and her husband would focus on the pregnancy program.

"I want a baby program. Jerinx needs to focus on the program and take care of Nora. Because Nora needs to be happy," Nora concluded.

Previously reported, I Gede Aryastina or better known as Jerinx SID was sentenced to 1 year in prison and fined IDR 25 million for the case of electronic media threats against Adam Deni. The verdict was lighter than the demand of the Public Prosecutor (JPU) who previously demanded two years in prison for Nora Alexandra's husband.

"The appropriate punishment to be imposed on the defendant is imprisonment. Judging, declaring that the defendant Jerinx has been proven legally and convincingly committed a criminal act intentionally and without right, as stated in the first indictment," said Judge Surachmat when reading the verdict at the Central Jakarta District Court, Thursday (24/2/2022).

4. 1 Year Sentence

"Imposing a criminal penalty on Jerinx with a prison sentence of 1 year, paying a fine of Rp 25 million or 1 month of imprisonment. The defendant's served sentence is fully deducted from the imposed punishment," he added.

5. Jerinx's Charges

Jerinx is charged with violating Article 29 in conjunction with Article 45B of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (hereinafter referred to as the ITE Law) and Article 27 paragraph (4) in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph (4) of the ITE Law.
