Feeling unrecognized and that his rights were violated, Ressa filed a lawsuit against Denada at the Banyuwangi District Court on November 26, 2025. This lawsuit was related to allegations of neglect and a request for recognition as a biological child, and initially also included a demand for compensation of around Rp7 billion.
