Karina Nadila Surrenders to Never Meeting Her Biological Father, Happy to Be Raised by Stepfather Since Childhood

"Oh, that's the story circulating on TikTok. But it's a story that eventually shaped me into who I am now," said Karina Nadila in FX Sudirman, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (25/1/2022).

1. Raised by Stepfather

Since childhood, the actress of the film IMPERFECT: KARIER, CINTA & TIMBANGAN has been taken care of and raised by her stepfather who married her mother. She is very close to her stepfather.

"Yes, since birth. But I have a stepfather. He has been taking care of me since I was 7 years old and married my mother when I was 9 years old. Sometimes when people ask, I say I'm from Padang and NTT. Because my stepfather takes care of me," she said.

2. Know the Causes of Not Being Able to Meet

Karina herself already knows from her mother the reason why she never met her father. Until now, she admits that she has never met her father. Even until Karina is about to marry Rangga Prihartanto, she has not yet met her biological father.

"My mother never hides anything. My mother told me everything from the beginning and now I'm used to it. Until now, I haven't (met him) yet. Before I got married, I wanted to try, but there was no way to connect," she added.

3. Already Resigned

Karina admitted that she has already resigned even though she has not met her biological father directly. It doesn't mean that she doesn't want to find her father, but she still doesn't know what her future plans are regarding her biological father.

"I'm more resigned. So if asked about my efforts, there haven't been any. I don't know about the future. At the moment, there is still none," she said.

4. Never Met in Person

Karina said she never met her father in person. Nevertheless, she believes he is still alive.

"I don't know about now. He was there back then. I also have his photo. Never met him physically. I think he's still alive," Karina concluded.
