Kartika Putri Denies Seeking Peace with Doctor Richard Lee

Kapanlagi.com - Kartika Putri and Dr. Richard Lee finally met after previously failing to conduct mediation initiated by the police. The case involves Kartika Putri's report against Dr. Richard Lee for defamation.

Karput, as she is familiarly known, arrived accompanied by her legal counsel, Brian Praneda. Shortly after, Dr. Richard Lee also appeared wearing a baseball jacket and sunglasses.

Before the mediation took place, Karput emphasized that she never asked for reconciliation regarding her report. She only followed the regulation to conduct mediation first before proceeding with the case.

"Today, I am fulfilling the invitation from the police investigator. I am not seeking peace, but I am attending the summons and respecting it. So, be careful with the misinterpretation that I am seeking peace," Karput said at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, Friday (23/4).

1. Richard's Request

This fourth mediation is said to be a request from Dr. Richard Lee, who could not attend the previous schedule due to a certain reason.

"It's actually the other party who requested today, if he doesn't come again, it's clear what it means," he said.

Meanwhile, Dr. Richard Lee himself stated that this mediation is also not at his request. The reason for not attending last week has already been mentioned, namely Kartika Putri who has not completed the COVID-19 quarantine period.

"I've already mentioned that Kartika Putri hasn't finished her quarantine and my child just had surgery," Richard Lee concluded.

As known, the case started when Dr. Richard Lee, who is known as a beauty doctor, revealed beauty products that contain unregistered harmful substances in the Food and Drug Administration (BPOM).

Kartika Putri, who had reviewed one of the products on the dangerous list, did not agree with Dr. Richard Lee's statement. Then, the doctor was reported to the police for alleged defamation.
