"As far as we know, Dena Rachman and Cindercella have also posted about their participation. I have participated in several parades: PRIDE Parade and Dance Parade," said Kia AFI, when exclusively contacted by KapanLagi.com.
As one of the representatives from Indonesia, he felt proud when participating in the pride parade. Moreover, Kia also wore traditional Balinese attire at that time.
"When it comes to costumes, I follow the guidance of the LGBTQIA community in Indonesia, 'Satu Pelangi'. Because they have their own themes every year. And they are also supported by renowned Indonesian designers who help this community," he explained.
Not stopping there, Kia also personally explained the meaning of pride month for him. According to him, everyone is free to live their lives and should focus on positive things that support their work.
"As the name suggests, PRIDE means SELF-RESPECT. As long as we live, we will always be surrounded by various opinions around us. They are free to express their opinions because it is their life. Will you always live your life according to other people's opinions? It's time for you to change your life the way you want it. You are the one who drives your own life. It's like even if we die, we don't take others with us, right? So love and explore deeper the uniqueness and differences within you.
