The son of the late ustadz Arifin Ilham, Ameer Azzikra was buried at Az-Zikra Islamic Boarding School, Gunung Sindur area, Bogor, West Java, on Monday (11/29/2021). In addition to family, a number of friends accompanied Ameer to his final resting place, one of them being actor Syakir Daulay.
Syakir Daulay bid farewell to Ameer Azzikra. Before being taken to Azikra Islamic Boarding School for burial, he kissed his friend's forehead.
"First, there is definitely a sense of loss and surprise, but kissing the forehead is one of the habits of pious people when their friends or relatives die. So when a pious person dies, the Mercy of Allah SWT circulates above their forehead," said Syakir Daulay at Azikra Islamic Boarding School, Bogor, West Java, on Monday (11/29/2021).
"That's why righteous people, when a righteous person passes away, they usually kiss their forehead. And when they kiss their forehead, it smells like musk or kasturi, very fragrant. That's also one of the signs of martyrdom, that their body is fragrant," he added.
Aside from emitting the scent of kasturi oil, Syakir Daulay mentioned that Ameer's body also smelled good. He discovered this when he witnessed the process of Ameer being bathed.
"When Syakir kissed his body, it smelled really good, I thought he deserved that (to die as a martyr) because he died while fighting for his father's dakwah. So it's natural for his body to smell good. He was also smiling when he was being bathed. Yes, Syakir really didn't expect to leave this world so soon, he was perfectly healthy," he said.
Despite that, Syakir had told about Ameer Azzikra before he passed away. Alvin Faiz's younger brother had been sick and received medical treatment for three days at EMC Sentul City Hospital. Initially, Zakir thought his friend was just experiencing common illness.
"Actually, Ameer has been sick for a few days, about four days ago. As a friend, I thought it was just a common illness considering the weather. But it turned out Ameer sent a message saying there was a problem with his lungs, and we still had good assumptions," said Syakir Daulay.
Personally, Syakir admitted that he did not expect his friend to leave so soon. Upon learning of Ameer Azzikra's passing, Syakir was shocked and immediately went to the hospital.
"But gradually it became more critical until last night, he took his last breath on November 29, 2021, in the early morning. That's when I was really shocked, immediately went to the hospital, and saw that Ameer's body had no life left," he said.
The body of Ameer Azzikra has been buried by his family and relatives in the area of Pondok Pesantren Az-Zikra, Gunung Sindur, Bogor, West Java. The funeral process of Ameer Azzikra took place around 10:15 AM WIB.
