Latest Anime Synopsis Coming to Disney+ in 2026

Kapanlagi.com - Disney+ prepares selected anime titles for 2026, from highly anticipated sequels to collaborations with video game maestro, Hideo Kojima.

This lineup of anime was presented at the Disney+ Originals Preview 2025 event in Disneyland Hong Kong last week. Some have completed their production phase while others have just begun their creative and production processes.

Disney+ is serious about developing their lineup of premium anime as the number of anime fans, particularly among young viewers, continues to grow worldwide.

Anime content has become one of Disney+'s frontline offerings in highlighting local Asia Pacific content as one of their pillars.

1. TWISTED WONDERLAND Season 1 + 2

In the magical world of Twisted Wonderland, a teenager named Yūken Enma (or “Yū”) is mysteriously thrown from his everyday life in Tokyo when a black train appears at night and leads him through a magic mirror.

Upon arriving in this new world, he is accepted into Night Raven College, a prestigious magic academy filled with eccentric yet tense students — as each dormitory in this school is inspired by iconic Disney villains, such as the Queen of Hearts, Scar, Ursula, and Maleficent.

However, immediate challenges arise: Yū loses his magical abilities and becomes somewhat of an outsider, living in a shabby dorm called Ramshackle Dorm, while the headmaster, Dire Crowley, gives him a place to stay and a secret mission to find a way to return to his world.

As he adjusts to the harsh and intrigue-filled academy life, Yū befriends complicated characters like Ace Trappola and Deuce Spade, who often trouble him, and witnesses how conflicts among students in each dorm are built on the personalities and legacies of the “Grand Seven” — the legendary villains who once inspired the foundation of the school.

However, beneath the laughter and rivalries of teenage life, there is a dark mystery shrouding this world: the phenomenon of “Overblot” emerges as a manifestation of extreme emotional power, threatening the stability of the students and potentially leading to destruction. In his quest to return home, Yū must forge alliances, uncover the secrets within his peers, and confront difficult truths about power and identity amidst the intrigue of magic and ambition.

3. Cat's Eye Season 2

Three sisters – Hitomi, Rui, and Ai – run a cafe during the day and work as a team of thieves at night known as “Cat's Eye” to recover their father's stolen art collection from a dark art trade syndicate. Balancing these two jobs becomes increasingly difficult as Hitomi develops a relationship with Toshio Utsumi, a detective assigned to investigate the Cat's Eye cases, who is unaware that his girlfriend is one of the thieves he is pursuing.
