The creator of the manga HUNTER x HUNTER recently underwent health surgery for back pain he has been suffering from. He decided to take a break from all his artistic activities and focus on recovering his physical performance after the surgery.

The 58-year-old creator revealed that he is currently working on a total of 50 new chapters of his manga that had been delayed. Although he has not fully recovered, Yoshihiro reported that he has recovered enough to move and resume his activities. "I am confirming and adjusting the timeline for the next 50 chapters that will be published soon. Once this is completed, I plan to continue drawing and finish the scripts that were previously postponed," he explained.

Yoshihiro Togashi further revealed about his struggles in recent times. He has lost 5 kilograms while bedridden post-surgery. Nevertheless, Yoshihiro remains enthusiastic about continuing his activities as a manga creator so that HUNTER x HUNTER can return from its hiatus soon.
