The 66-year-old artist said that at that time she didn't have to pay for the silicone injections she underwent. A friend offered her the treatment for free.

"Because I was so clueless, I didn't ask what was in it (silicone or filler)," she added. Mpok Atiek herself has been getting silicone injections on her face since the 90s until 2010.

"Friends say 'your face looks strange, everything has sagged, everything has drooped,'" said Mpok Atiek. Many relatives commented that her face looked like a witch. "Sorry, Mpok, your face looks like a witch," she said, imitating her friend's words. Instead of getting good results, Mpok Atiek's face actually changed the opposite.

She went to the doctor and was advised to have silicone removal surgery so it wouldn't end up becoming cancer. "You consult with a doctor, it seems like it could be cancer," said Mpok Atiek, imitating her friend's words.
