Singer Annisa Theresia Ebenna Ezeria Pardede or commonly known as Tere has decided to leave the world of singing, which once made her famous.

Nevertheless, the woman who converted to Islam on September 2, 2000, now uses art for worship.

"Alhamdulillah, I am now able to continue my artistic activities with prayers," said Tere when met at Masjid At Tin, East Jakarta, on Sunday (18/12).

"So, Alhamdulillah, I am not involved in artistic activities for economic needs, but rather for worship," Tere continued.

As someone who has chosen to migrate and leave the world of singing, Tere does not say that artistic activities are forbidden to be done.

This woman, who is also active in preaching through social media, even allows her colleagues who are still involved in the world of art to continue their work as best as possible.

"Masya Allah doesn't mean I prohibit artistic activities, for friends who are still engaged in art, please continue your best work," he said.

Furthermore, he reminded his friends to create works that can be accounted for in the afterlife.

"But make sure that each work is accounted for as a provision for the hereafter, not only materialistic in this world but also beneficial for the afterlife," he concluded.

When he was a singer, Tere was known for his strong vocal character. Stepping back from the entertainment world, Tere briefly became a politician from 2009-2012.
