Legal Counsel Claims Doctor Richard Lee's Arrest Was Unexpected

Kapanlagi.com - Doctor Richard Lee's lawyer, Razman Nasution, said his client did not expect to be detained by the police. Richard was arrested after being questioned by the Cyber Sub-Directorate Investigator of the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Jakarta Metro Police on December 27, 2021.

When met at the Jakarta Metro Police on Tuesday (12/28), Razman said this was beyond his client's expectations. The police detained Richard Lee because the first stage case file of the illegal access case that implicated him had been declared complete by the prosecutor or P21.

"Unexpectedly, a detention occurred," said Razman

Afterwards, the investigators immediately proceeded to the second phase of transfer to the prosecutor's office, namely the suspect and the evidence. Because of that, Richard had to be detained until the second phase of transfer.

As legal counsel, Razman will submit a detention suspension letter to the DKI High Prosecutor's Office. He also mentioned that his client's condition during the detention was fine.

"So, actually this condition is not sensitive," said Razman.

3. Understand Psychological Condition

"However, I understand the psychological condition of my client, his wife's psychological condition," he added.

Previously, Richard Lee was arrested on Wednesday afternoon, August 11, 2021, on suspicion of illegal access and evidence tampering on an Instagram account seized by investigators as evidence, and the Metro Jaya Regional Police then designated him as a suspect.

4. Illegal

The beauty doctor was arrested for accessing his social media account, which was seized by investigators as evidence and this action is considered illegal.
