Long Absent, Here's the Latest Portrait of Dondot Teamlo Who Now Makes a Living Selling Fried Foods

The pandemic that prohibits crowds and gatherings has caused Teamlo to be unable to perform. Not being able to perform means not working, and not working means they don't earn any income.

From here, a man named Eri Tribudiarto and his wife came up with the idea to sell food. Initially, his wife cooked and Dondot delivered the orders.

"Our main products are grilled rice, fried snacks, sometimes there are orders for dim sum, gudeg, basically anything depending on the order, we spread it to our friends, and I deliver it myself. And there's free shipping," said Dondot when met at his home.

However, over time, Dondot himself prepares everything, from opening the shop, cooking, frying, and delivering, but there is still help from his wife.

During the early days of selling, Dondot himself was nervous. Especially since this change was 180 degrees different from his previous job. Even when delivering orders, some people recognized him.

Once known as a band player, and now becoming a fried food seller, doesn't make Dondot ashamed. For him, the most important thing now is that his merchandise sells well, and his work is halal.

When asked about the other members of Teamlo, Dondot revealed that Wawan and his colleagues are now in their respective areas with projects, as well as each of them.

Although scattered, Dondot himself admitted that he still often gets off-air jobs, such as performing at cafes or corporate events. Sometimes, he still plays with some former Teamlo personnel.

There aren't many jobs after the Teamlo members dispersed, Dondot now relies more on social media to find work. He is grateful for what he is doing now.

Talking about the past, Dondot himself remembers his heyday with Teamlo. He even admitted to being complacent with material things, making him too consumptive. He regrets not starting a business earlier.
