Kapanlagi.com - A teenage singer, Nicole Rossi, recently got a pet at her house. She chose to adopt a dog, a cute and smart animal that is suitable to be kept at home.

However, behind her reason for keeping a dog, Nicole actually includes an education for many people. Yes, she chose to adopt instead of buying.

Before adopting a dog, Nicole and her family apparently read and saw news about animal 'factories,' especially for dogs. Where, animals that are 'useless' are often killed or exterminated.

"Because if we look at the news, according to PETA.org, in animal 'factories,' especially for dogs, female dogs are required to reproduce every few moments and sometimes these dogs are not given rest after reproduction. After the female dog can no longer reproduce, they will be immediately auctioned or even killed because they are no longer profitable for the 'factory," Nicole said in a recent phone conversation.

"It's pitiful. So it's better for me to adopt a dog from a shelter and also to share it with friends on social media, that it's better to adopt than to buy #AdoptDon'tShop," she added.

This is Nicole's first time adopting a dog. She is happy to have a cute and adorable playmate at home. Understandably, since the pandemic, Nicole has always been spending time at home.

"During the pandemic, my activities are almost normal but the difference is that everything is done online. Like school, ballet dance lessons, dance lessons, vocal lessons, and piano lessons," she said.

As a singer, Nicole continues to create despite the pandemic. She is currently preparing a new song titled Dear Mama. In this song, Nicole is also involved in writing the lyrics. The song was released on June 15, 2021.

"The song is about our gratitude to our mother who gave birth to us and raised us," she said.
