"Hopefully, the government will be clearer in protecting local businesses from goods that come from unknown sources and are cheaper. Economic circulation is also important for us," Luna said when met in the Sudirman area, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (5/10/2023).

"If there are cheap goods but not from Indonesia, the ones who enjoy it are not us, for example, we don't pay taxes, the workforce is not from us. Don't just think about the cheap price. There are indeed pros and cons for people who don't understand," Luna said.

As a business player in the beauty and fashion industry, Luna Maya sees that the local market is equally cool compared to foreign products. She hopes that people will not only consider the price.

"I believe that local brands are good and I myself hope that consumers who like shopping won't be impulsive just because it's cheap. We also have to provide information on why we should support local brands," Luna emphasized.
