Mahkamah Kehormatan Dewan Scrutinizes Krisdayanti Involved in Conflict with Children on Social Media

Kapanlagi.com - Krisdayanti is once again involved in a conflict with her biological children, Azriel and Aurel Hermansyah. As known, this is not the first time they have exchanged sarcastic remarks and even fought on social media. The difference is that KD, as she is affectionately called, is now a member of the Indonesian Parliament.

As a representative of the people, KD is expected to set a good example for the public. And her action of bringing family issues to the public sphere on social media has finally caught the attention of the Ethics Council of the Parliament (MKD).

"Members of the Parliament are often scrutinized by the public. So it is better to resolve personal problems privately. We are concerned that it might undermine the values and spirit of the Parliament," said Saleh Partaonan Daulay, vice chairman of the MKD of the Indonesian Parliament as quoted by KapanLagi.com from the YouTube channel Intens Investigasi.

1. Should Be Resolved in a Wise Manner

According to Saleh, problems that arise in a household are very normal to happen. However, for him, personal problems like this should be resolved privately, not aired in the public domain.

"This is the relationship between children and parents. They surely love each other, maybe miss each other. That's why it would actually be easier to find a common ground between them. So, because of that, we hope that the resolution of matters like this can be done in a wise manner," Saleh continued.

2. Will KD Face Sanctions?

As known, the MKD is tasked with upholding the honor and dignity of the DPR as a representative institution of the people. However, Saleh mentioned that the conflict between KD and her children does not need to be brought to the Mahkamah Kehormatan Dewan (Council's Honor Court).

"The Mahkamah Kehormatan Dewan only deals with upholding the honor of the council, both institutionally and individually. So, as long as it can still be resolved within the family, I don't think there is a need for a resolution in the Mahkamah Kehormatan Dewan. That's why I said earlier, I believe that Ms. KD can resolve it well with her children," Saleh concluded.
