Mak Edwin Wants Permission to Pray, Words that His Late Mother Liked During Her Lifetime

Kapanlagi.com - Edwin Super Bejo admits that he has sincerely accepted the passing of his mother, Hasanah, on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 17:52 WIB due to cervical cancer she had. During her lifetime, Edwin said that his mother was the type who wanted many things.

"Mom didn't want much, she never wanted this or that. But she was happiest when I said 'Mom, I want permission to pray'," Edwin said after the funeral at TPU Menteng Pulo, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (6/9/2023).

"Edwin has been influenced by the devil, so he has difficulty hearing the call to prayer until now. He tested me to migrate for more than a year, he said I was just pretending or following trends," Jhody added.

Edwin himself decided to deepen his knowledge of Islam and improve his worship, which was previously lacking. However, he emphasized that he did not migrate, but rather became a better human.

"If I study quietly, I will tell my mother 'Mom, Dwin has already prayed' in the hope that it will make her happy," said Edwin.

2. Accompanying the Last Moments of Mother

Jhody, who has been friends with Edwin for decades, is grateful. When Edwin's mother took her last breath, he was also at the hospital.

"I have been at the hospital since Thursday, it's been four days. Last Tuesday, I really wanted to go to the hospital again, but it turned out to be her last day, alhamdulillah I was there accompanying Edwin and his siblings," said Jhody.

"My mother briefly opened her eyes but then closed them again. The moment of death is said to be very painful according to the Prophet, maybe it was indeed difficult. Her heart condition was checked several times and it turned out that she was no longer with us, her heart stopped at 17:52," Jhody continued.

3. Also Lost

As a friend who also had a close relationship with the deceased, Jhody admitted that he also felt the loss. However, he realizes that human beings only live in this world for a moment and will eventually return to the Creator.

"Edwin and I have been friends with his father and siblings for 32 years, they are like family. Of course, it is considered a loss when someone is gone, but everyone will die eventually," he concluded.
