Throughout her life, Mak Nyak pursued her career since the age of 17. Until the end of her life, she was still enthusiastic about shooting Si Doel The Series in the middle of the year.
Filled with spirit, Mak Nyak struggled through the shooting while lying in bed. At that time, she was sick due to suffering from glaucoma for about 14 years before passing away.
Due to her illness, Mak Nyak experienced paralysis and blindness. Mak Nyak's spirit never stopped, even though she was shooting while lying in bed, she still followed the director's instructions, Rano Karno, during the shooting of the film Si Doel The Movie in 2018.
Mak Nyak started her career in 1955, she was involved in 78 feature films and 13 soap operas. Mak Nyak herself became known through the soap opera SI DOEL ANAK SEKOLAHAN in 1994.
Having the real name Aminah Cendrakasih, Mak Nyak in the story of the soap opera SI DOEL ANAK SEKOLAHAN has a child named Si Doel played by Rano Karno and also Suti Karno who played Atun.
In addition, in 2018, Mak Nyak remained enthusiastic about shooting the film Si Doel despite physical limitations at her old age, even shooting while lying on a bed.
And on Wednesday (21/12/2022), Aminah Cendrakasih, or known as Mak Nyak, passed away at the age of 84.
Mak Nyak's departure brings sadness and grief to other artists. This senior actress was buried at TPU Karet Bivak, South Jakarta, in the same grave as her mother, Wolly Sutinah or Mak Wok, on Thursday (22/12/2022) today.
