Fairuz A Rafiq admitted to being proud of King Faaz Arafiq, who is his eldest son. Because, approaching the moment of Eid al-Adha, Faaz used his savings money to sacrifice.
According to the 38-year-old woman, Faaz himself took the initiative to buy sacrificial animals to be slaughtered on the day of Eid. Of course, at first, Fairuz was surprised by her son's desire.
"So, this is the first time he really uses his own money for the sacrifice," said Fairuz when met in Pondok Indah, South Jakarta, Wednesday (12/6/2024).
"And Alhamdulillah, that comes from the desire of brother Faaz himself, so I'm really happy and enthusiastic because I see brother Faaz wants to sacrifice using his own money and he himself said 'I want to sacrifice, Mom'," added Fairuz.
Fairuz was even more amazed when her eldest son expressed another sincere intention. Apparently, Faaz wants the meat of his sacrifice to be distributed to the people of Palestine.
"So, I'm happy and when he found out that his sacrifice could be distributed to Palestine, he became even happier. So, it is truly ensured that it can be received by those who really need it," said Fairuz.
Faaz's desire to sacrifice was told by Sonny Septian's wife when she saw a brochure about sacrificing.
Initially, Fairuz thought it was just a momentary desire from their child.
"He immediately said, 'Mom, can I sacrifice?' like that, and then I was like, okay, I'm a parent, I can do it. I wanted to see if he would change his mind tomorrow or the day after," Fairuz said.
Apparently, Faaz's intention to sacrifice was serious. And the money used by the child was purely from his own savings, without assistance from Fairuz or Sonny. "I collected it myself using Eid money," Faaz concluded.
