Make Thariq Halilintar and Fuji as the Models for the Music Video, Ashanty Denies Exploiting the Moment

Kapanlagi.com - Ashanty has just released her latest single titled Bye Mantan (Goodbye Ex). The song tells the story of someone who refuses to fall in love again with their ex-lover.

"Originally, the title was 'hati-hati' (be careful), but be careful of what, there are already many songs with that title. Ah, it seems more exciting to have a unique title, bye mantan. Well, because the lyrics are already 'bye,'" said Ashanty during a press conference in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (5/7).

This song is very different from the ones usually sung together with her husband Anang Hermansyah. Ashanty made this song lighter so that people can sing along too.

"I always duet with Mas Anang whose songs are slow and heavy. In my solo song from before I was with Mas Anang, titled 'Dulu' which was a hit and people really liked it, the song was simple and the singing had no effort. Now I want this song to be light. Basically, I want to sing as simple as possible. People can karaoke sing along," she explained.

2. Surprised by the Model in the Music Video

However, the most interesting thing about this song is that it involves Thariq Halilintar and Fuji as the models in the music video. Considering that the two of them are now ex-lovers. Ashanty revealed that the idea to pair them in the music video was not hers but the director, Upie Guava.

"I swear to God, honestly, if someone asks 'is it you, mom?' I never thought that they would be the models in this music video at all.

"You can interview Mas Upie. Why did he choose them? Even I was surprised when they were presented to me, 'Oh No'. It's like, do I want it or not?" Ashanty explained.

3. Deny Utilizing the Moment

Ashanty also denies using Thariq Halilintar and Fuji as models for her music video to take advantage of the moment or to reunite them.

"From my personal perspective, I never wanted to take advantage of the moment by using them, not at all. It's just that when they were offered, there's no harm in trying and it turns out that for both of them, it's 'funny to have a song like that' and they accept it and are happy about it. So I have no intention like 'oh I want him, to do this or that', none at all, it's already like God's path," she concluded.
