Imagine, at the grand final of the Miss Face of Humanity 2022 event, she managed to beat other finalists from various countries.

"I feel very proud and happy. It was beyond my expectations to become the winner of Miss Face of Humanity. I came and tried my best for Indonesia. The appearance of the woman born on July 17, 1994 in the 'Opening Statement' and 'Diplomatic Costume' sessions managed to bring Indonesia into the top 15, 10, and 4, and finally beat the finalist from Rwanda who became the runner-up of the beauty pageant.

"For me, the training I underwent with the Mega Bintang World Foundation was what helped me pass the judging process in the Miss Face of Humanity event. For 1.5 years, I was trained and also directly involved in seeing and facing various social issues that occurred in Indonesia and the world."

1. 1.5-Year Training Yields Results

Ivan Gunawan, as a mentor and National Director of the Dunia Mega Bintang Foundation that sent Nadia to the Miss Face of Humanity competition, expressed his pride in the achievement of his protégé.

"I am very proud and happy about Nadia's victory as Miss Face of Humanity 2022. After going through 1.5 years of training and finally departing to Toronto, Canada, Nadia finally managed to bring victory and pride to Indonesia," praised Igun.

Nadia herself felt very fortunate to receive special training to face the Miss Face of Humanity competition. This event is not just a physical assessment contest, but also evaluates the social or humanitarian actions of its participants.

"During the training, I underwent various training sessions, including diplomatic speech. In this special training, besides sharpening my knowledge, it also gave me an understanding of the issues happening in the world. With broad knowledge and insight, I believe women can become champions in any field and anywhere. That's why, as the Global Ambassador of Miss Face of Humanity, I want every woman and child to have equal opportunities to access education easily, including for refugee children and women around the world," said Nadia.

2. Active as a Volunteer Teacher

Before leaving for Toronto, Canada, Ivan Gunawan and the Mega Bintang World Foundation had prepared Nadia with a number of trainings, one of which was in the field of humanitarian social training. "So far, Nadia has been trained quite well. That's why when it came to the final night, Nadia performed at her best. She did various trainings, ranging from make-up, hair do, public speaking, and diplomatic speech training. Nadia also carried out various social activities to support her advocacy, which is education for refugees," he continued. Igun also explained that Nadia has been actively volunteering as a teacher for refugee children in Indonesia. Nadia's main mission is to educate the refugees that they too can dream and encourage them to pursue those dreams.

3. Wearing Ivan Gunawan's Design

On the final night of Miss Face of Humanity 2022, Nadia dazzled in the opening introduction session. Nadia wore a stunning white cocktail dress designed by Ivan Gunawan. Meanwhile, for the diplomatic costume competition, Nadia Tjoa wore a kebaya combined with pink songket fabric. The 175 cm tall woman looked graceful in the design by Ivan Gunawan.

Nadia's attire has been captivating viewers since the pre-liminary night, where she wore a creation by Wicky Wu called Blue Desert. "In the pre-eliminary, I wore a dress by Wicky Wu called Blue Desert and a kebaya and songket for my national costume designed by my national director, Ivan Gunawan," said Nadia.

And at the peak of the announcement, Nadia wore a masterpiece by Ivan Gunawan called The Reminiscence Of Golden Phoenix, inspired by the Javanese legend, Sawunggaling. Sawunggaling itself is a mythical creature from the Javanese legend that represents gentle strength and wisdom. This creature is displayed in composition with Pradan - a typical Balinese plant that was also used as a material for gold application techniques on batik in the past. The application of prada or gold as a final touch is also a representation of beauty and grace.

In the masterpiece designed by Ivan Gunawan, the typical motif of Iwan Tirta Sawunggaling Pradan (Golden Phoenix) symbolizes leadership and grace for the wearer. This is what Nadia Tjoa represents in the Miss Face Of Humanity 2022 competition, that being a strong leader is not only for men but also for women.
