The passing of Rima Melati has undoubtedly caused deep grief for her family and relatives. One of them is singer Marcell Siahaan, who apparently knew the family of Rima Melati quite well.

"Aunt Rima Melati was very close to Aunt Widyawati, we also often met at various family events because Sophan Sophiaan and Widyawati's son, Romi Sophiaan, is my basis.
