Marissa married Benedikt Brueggemann in 2017. To celebrate their 8th anniversary, the couple flew to Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world. 

"We just casually flew here. Why not?" she wrote in the caption of her Instagram post. She describes this experience as magical. She flew in a helicopter and enjoyed breakfast at the Everest View Hotel. "Definitely one thing to add to the bucket list," she emphasized.
