Through the Youtube channel Agak Laen on December 12, 2022, Marshel Widianto admitted that he was once spit on by his own aunt because he embarrassed the family.

This happened when Marshel Widianto lived with his aunt so he could continue his education. At that time, Marshel's parents couldn't afford to finance his schooling due to economic reasons.

"I lived at my aunt's house for seven years. My parents didn't have money (for school expenses), so as the eldest child, how can I raise the dignity of my parents?" explained Marshel Widianto.

But after being given the opportunity to go to school, Marshel Widianto wasted it. He didn't move up a grade in the first year of junior high school, which embarrassed his family.

"During junior high school in East Jakarta, I didn't move up a grade in the first year," Marshel recalled. "I never studied," he said.

Marshel's failure made his aunt very angry. His aunt even threw away Marshel's report card and spat on it.

"So I was called, looked around, and spat on. I cried so hard, my mental state was affected," Marshel revealed.

However, that moment fueled Marshel's determination to not fail in life and successfully strengthen his mental state. "That's the purpose, to keep the spirit alive," Marshel concluded.
