Masayu Clara's First Experience Taking Care of Twin Babies, Panic When Her Child Cries

Kapanlagi.com - Masayu Clara gave birth to twin baby boys via caesarean section at Brawijaya Hospital on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. This certainly brings its own happiness for Masayu Clara and her husband, Qausar Harta Yudana.

However, Masayu Clara was confused when facing her twin babies. Especially when the baby cries, even though she has already breastfed him.

"Until today, I still experience baby blues where he cries. When he cries, there is a feeling of 'oh why' confusion even though he has been breastfed, he still cries," said Masayu Clara at Brawijaya Antasari Hospital, South Jakarta, on Sunday (8/13/2023).

"But alhamdulillah, we still enjoy everything. The first thing that made me cry was actually the pain after the surgery, not because of taking care of the baby, but more of the confusion of 'oh what should I do with this baby'. What should I do when he cries," Masayu added.

1. Panicked when the Child Cried

Furthermore, Masayu said that once in the middle of the night, the nurse brought the twin babies to her because they were thirsty. Shortly after, Masayu panicked because her child suddenly cried.

"The nurse just said 'the baby wants to breastfeed', and then she left the baby with me. The nurse left and the baby cried. We were confused, wondering if the nurse doesn't cry when she's left alone but cries only when we leave. We called the nurse, and then we felt awkward because the nurse in this hospital is the most talkative," she said.

2. Afraid to Breastfeed

When breastfeeding her twin children, Masayu was afraid. Of course, because this was the first time she had children and was immediately blessed with twin babies.

"Because it was the first time I breastfed them, they were less than a day old. They were still fragile, and we had never held a newborn before, so we didn't know. We were afraid that the breast milk wouldn't come out, especially since it was still the first day," she said.

3. Can Learn a Lot from Nurses

For that, Masayu is very grateful to the hospital because they are very efficient in helping her. The nurses also gave her lessons on how to breastfeed her twins.

"Luckily, they are very professional in breastfeeding and the doctor nurses are very supportive. So, right from the start, the baby was breastfed and we were taught. They helped us with how to position the baby," Masayu Clara concluded.
