Massacre in Palestine, Zaskia Adya Mecca Urges the Public to Show Humanity

Kapanlagi.com - On Wednesday morning (19/5/2021), husband and wife Hanung Bramantyo and Zaskia Adya Mecca visited the Palestinian Embassy located in Central Jakarta. This was done to support the hundreds of victims, 40 of whom are small children.

"I am here to support the victims, especially those who are Muslims like me. I invite all Muslim citizens, let's do what we can to support them," said Hanung.

1. Speaking Up Even with Few Followers

According to Zaskia, support for Palestine can be done by anyone, even those with only a few followers on social media. Because many people need to be informed that a humanitarian tragedy has occurred in Palestine.

"We want to provide maximum assistance to Palestine. I am speaking up. Whatever we can do besides praying and donating, let's do it. Indonesia has fallen before. Now that we are independent, we must help as much as possible. Speak up, don't stay silent, don't just think that my followers are not too many. Because by speaking up, we make people aware that there is a massacre in Palestine," explained Zaskia.

2. No Safe Place

The most heartbreaking thing about the current situation in Palestine is the absence of a safe haven to take shelter. Almost every place is declared dangerous.

"For our family, this is a humanitarian tragedy. Regardless of religion, all of us who consider ourselves religious will feel the violence committed by the authorities against civilians in places of worship is worth our concern. We cannot support it, we must oppose it, especially triggering a war that claims casualties. There are 200 civilian deaths, 40 of them are children. And until today, there is no safe place. Even vital places are destroyed," added Hanung.

"We have to see what Israel is doing. In such conditions, there is usually one safe haven, but there is not a single area guaranteed safe from Israel," concluded Zaskia.
