However, as admitted by Bambang Trihatmodjo's wife, there is a unique story behind her popular buzz cut. Before venturing into the music industry, Mayang was persuaded by her producer to change her appearance.
"But I once experienced something that shocked me. So, my hair was this long (reaching my waist) before it was cut by one of the producers," said Mayangsari, as quoted from the Brownis Trans TV show (27/01/2020).
Mayangsari, who loves her long hair very much, was shocked to see her new haircut. However, she had to do it to look different from most singers.
"Franky Tandayu, who cut my hair, suddenly said after finishing, 'Let's make it different'. That short?" Mayangsari recalled.
Instead of being happy when she saw the result, the mother of one almost cried. As a result, she held deep resentment towards her hairstylist at that time.
"I wanted to cry and kill the person who cut my hair. It's not just short, it's completely bald. How can I not resent it?" she exclaimed.
