In his latest post, Melki shared that he was once mistaken for Ifan, the vocalist of the group SEVENTEEN. He mentioned that there were worshippers from Indonesia who called him by that name.

"“Mas Ifan Mas Ifan” this voice got closer and clearer. “Show me a photo, Mas Ifan” I immediately knew they meant @ifanseventeen .. I said I wasn't." he recounted.

4. Other Pilgrims Mistake Melki for Isa

The misunderstanding didn’t stop there as other pilgrims mistakenly recognized him again. This time, Melki was called by the name Isa, another member of Bajaj.

“At the same time, there was a couple approaching .. and calling me ‘mas Isa’ … I said ‘no’,” he revealed.

Even though he was misidentified as someone else, Melki still accommodated requests for photos together. He chose to be friendly so as not to disappoint the pilgrims.

“They still took photos after knowing that I am Melki … I hope they remain happy and not disappointed,” he said.
