Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno Introduces His Son to Bima S, a Work of Art by Indonesian Children

Yes, he appeared with Sulaiman at the launch of Bima S Toys in the MNC Studios complex, West Jakarta, on Wednesday (16/6/2021). It reminded him of his childhood idolizing superheroes and wanting to start collecting action figures.

"Earlier this evening, I invited Sulaiman to the launch of BIMA-S Toys event organized by MNC. Maybe some still remember, when we were kids, Satria Baja Hitam, Ultraman, Superman were the superheroes we admired. Then, we asked to be bought toys, clothes, and posters related to these superheroes," he wrote.

"What caught the attention of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy is not only films as creative products. But also the high economic value of its derivatives. We highly appreciate this agenda, as it supports the development of the creative economy ecosystem, not only promoting job creation but also increasing the GDP of the creative economy nationally," said Sandiaga, who was accompanied by his wife, Nur Asia Uno.

2. Ranked 3rd in the World

Furthermore, Sandiaga explained that in 2020, Indonesia's creative economy was ranked 3rd in the world. After the United States with its Hollywood and Korea with its worldwide K-Pop.

The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy hopes that Bima S Toys can inspire other intellectual properties to develop animations and continue to shape the ecosystem. "To ensure that we become the host in our own country and our animations can dominate the world," said Sandiaga.
