Mona Ratuliu's daughter, Mima Shafa, makes her acting debut in the film A NORMAL WOMAN, which premieres on July 24, 2025, on Netflix. She received a warm welcome from a series of public figures in the country as well as the film's audience.

In the film directed by Lucky Kuswandi, Mima plays a character named Angel, who is the only daughter of the couple Milla (Marissa Anita) and Jonathan (Dion Wiyoko).

Mima Shafa herself feels "destined" with the character Angel due to similarities in personal experiences.

Mima uploaded a comparison of her photos in 2021 (as an acne fighter) and 2024 (makeup with prosthetic acne).   "From the beginning when I was sent the character background of Angel, I knew this character was my ‘match.’ I struggled with self-image growing up," wrote Mima on her personal Instagram, Thursday (24/7).

"Since I was little, I was often compared to my mother. There were so many comments from people out there, ‘the mother is beautiful, why is the child ugly?’ Those comments stopped me and my potential, and made me afraid to move forward because in my mind I didn't deserve to be the best," she continued.
