Mother-in-law wants a granddaughter, Ringgo Agus Rahman: I'm diligent though

According to the actor who played Abah in the film Keluarga Cemara, he understands his mother-in-law's wish. This is because his wife, who is of Minang descent, has a tradition where women are the heirs.

"We don't have a daughter yet, but is it necessary to have one? I don't know. But my mother-in-law said the other day, because we're Minang people, it would be nice if a daughter could continue the lineage of female descendants so that the lineage of our tribe doesn't end," said Ringgo in Jakarta on Wednesday (18/5/2022).

1. Up to the Wife

For Ringgo, adding to the family is not a problem. However, he leaves the decision entirely up to his wife, Sabai Morscheck.

"We have a baby now, and it's cute. But when this baby grows up, we'll see. I think eventually we'll want another one. That's what being a husband and wife is all about. I'm diligent, so we'll just have to wait and see if it happens or not," he said.

2. Ready to Have Another Child

Ringgo further stated that having children is a gift from God that should be appreciated. Even if he and his wife have agreed to have another child, he doesn't know if God will give them a daughter.

"If we decide to have another child, I'm ready for it. I'll leave it up to my wife to decide when to surrender. If she surrenders, it will happen, but if she resists, it will be difficult. But we don't know if it will be a girl or a boy," he said.
