Narji Shares Funny Stories When Asked About Teaching His Children to Fast

Kapanlagi.com - Couple Narji and Widiyanti admitted that they did not have difficulty in teaching their children to observe fasting during this Ramadan. Their two older children have been able to adapt to fasting during Ramadan, while their youngest child is still unable to because they are still a toddler.

When met in the Harmoni area, Central Jakarta, on Monday night (19/4), Narji and his wife shared how their small family observes fasting. They did not have difficulty in teaching fasting, and with a little joke, Narji said his children find it hard to believe that he is their father.

"The oldest and the second one can fast the full day, but the third one is still a toddler, so they don't know yet, they just mess around," said Narji's wife, Widiyanti.

"Teaching them is easy, the difficult part is for them to accept me as their father haha," added Narji.

Narji also shared a moment when his eldest child asked his wife the reason why she fell in love with their father. However, it seems that the 43-year-old comedian managed to give a good example with his humorous style.

"Once my oldest child asked why mother likes father, I wanted to laugh, I thought 'wow my own child, my flesh and blood, doesn't believe it, let alone the neighbors', haha. Actually, if asked whether it's difficult or not to teach the child, thank God my child doesn't need to be told but given an example. Even when the fasting month is about to end, my second child cries," said Narji.

2. Motivation Giving

In addition, Narji and his wife certainly give appreciation to their child if they can fast for the whole month. However, this cannot be used as a benchmark because according to him, every parent has their own way of motivating their child to be obedient in worship.

"Motivating children is different, like 'if you want those shoes, you have to complete your fasting, dad will give you a bonus' well, eventually they often do it on their own without needing that anymore, slowly teaching the child," he concluded.
