Indonesian Idol is one of the popular talent search shows for vocal performance in the country. For those who don't know, this show has been held eleven times, which means it has produced eleven champions with outstanding voices and star quality. For those curious about the news of the first to latest Indonesian Idol champions, here is how they are now!
Happy news comes from the first Indonesian Idol champion in 2004, Joy Destiny Tobing. She has just married a soldier from the Indonesian National Army, Cahyo Permono. This is Joy's second marriage. From her first marriage, she has a son.
Mike Mohede, who was dubbed as having the voice of an angel, was the champion of Indonesian Idol season two in 2005. He also represented Indonesia in the Asian Idol competition. Mike passed away on July 31, 2016, at the age of 32, due to a heart attack.
Ihsan Tarore, who was only 17 years old at the time, won the third season in 2006. Ihsan, who is now 32 years old, is still actively singing and is also known as an actor. His acting can be seen in FTV Indosiar, Kisah Nyata.
Rinni Wulandari became the champion of Indonesian Idol season four in 2007. Rinni is still known as a solo singer. She is also busy as a mother of one child from her marriage to musician Jevin Julian.

After a four-year absence, the ninth season of Indonesian Idol was held again in 2018 and the champion was Maria Simorangkir. Maria is now 20 years old and busy studying at the Indonesian Christian University. Maria has also recently released a single titled Jangan Kau Tinggalkan Aku.
Lyodra Margareta Ginting became the champion of the tenth season of Indonesian Idol held in 2020. Lyodra has just been nominated for Best Southeast Asia Act at the 2021 MTV Europe Music Awards. At the time this article was published, Lyodra was in Dubai to perform at Expo 2020 Dubai.
The latest champion of Indonesian Idol is Rimar Callista, who was crowned champion in April 2021. She has just released a single titled Waktu dan Perhatian, which was sung as a duet with Mark Natama, last October.
