Oya Abdul Malik, Vadel's legal counsel, stated that the testimonies provided by the two witnesses, namely the domestic worker and housekeeping, actually benefit his side and make the case clearer.

Although he could not disclose the content of the testimony because the trial was closed, he emphasized that the information provided was very positive for his client. He even believes that there is a miracle in every trial.

"Yes, I can't open up because this is a closed trial, but for sure the testimony is really good, becoming clearer and clearer. Hopefully, I always convey that there is always a miracle in every trial, God helps in the trial," he explained.

3. Deny the Issue of Near-Death

Furthermore, Oya Abdul Malik firmly denied the issue that one of the witnesses knew of a victim who was almost near death.

"There is none, there is no testimony of being near death, there is none, absolutely none of that," he asserted.

With the positive witness statement, Oya hopes this can be a consideration for the judges to lighten Vadel Badjideh's sentence.

"God willing, it can lighten," he concluded hopefully.
