Nikita Mirzani Calls the Policy of Implementing PSBB in Jakarta Inefficient

Kapanlagi.com - Nikita Mirzani once again caused a stir among netizens after sending a 'love letter' to Anies Baswedan regarding the decision to implement PSBB again in Jakarta starting from September 14, 2020. In her post, Niki openly expressed her disagreement with the regulation.

Niki stated that she was only conveying her aspirations as an Indonesian citizen. In her writing, there was no intention to insult or express any other negative things personally to Anies Baswedan.

"It's just voicing an opinion. As Indonesian citizens, we have the right to voice anything as long as it is still within the right path. There is no insult. That's what I feel as an Indonesian citizen. You will also have a hard time finding news if PSBB is implemented again," Niki said when interviewed on Trans TV, South Jakarta, Friday (11/9/2020).

In her writing, Niki mentioned her concern for the fate of the underprivileged if PSBB is implemented again. In addition, the lockdown policy is also considered unclear.

"Inefficient. Because why not from the beginning. If you want to lockdown, just lockdown altogether. If necessary, there should be no newcomers, but it is not done. So now, it is obvious that the number of Covid cases is increasing, getting worse. But when it comes to talking about Covid, it never ends. It's just a matter of individual awareness," added this mother of three.

2. Reasons for Mentioning Anies Baswedan's Name

Niki was then asked why she linked Anies Baswedan's name in her post, not Jokowi as the President of Indonesia. The COMIC 8 actress revealed her reasons.

"Because Mr. Anies is the Governor of Jakarta. He is the one who approves or disapproves the implementation of PSBB. If it's Mr. President, it's a different story," Niki concluded.
